David is the founder and senior advisor at Website Properties. In 2002, after selling Hammocks.com to Hayneedle, he built the first brokerage in the world dedicated exclusively to internet businesses.

Before founding the firm, David started, scaled and sold more than 60 websites — Strollers.com, Drums.com, Unicorns.com — so he thinks like an operator when he values yours. He has been cited by DN Journal and interviewed by Domain Sherpa and the New York Times on digital business M&A.

David leads the firm's most complex transactions — strategic buyer negotiations, multi-brand roll-ups, and founder-led exits above $5M. He takes on a small number of clients personally each year.

Natalie runs the engine that makes every Website Properties deal close on time. She joined the firm in 2008 after finance roles at Shearson Lehman Brothers and has built the operational backbone every transaction touches — valuation preparation, financial packaging, listing management and due diligence support.

If you work with Website Properties, you will work with Natalie. She is the reason sellers describe the process as “unexpectedly smooth” even when the deal itself is anything but.

Natalie holds a B.S. in International Business from George Washington University and is based at the firm's headquarters.

Shaun is a senior broker at Website Properties and one of the few brokers in digital M&A who has scaled a company from 500 to 20,000 employees. He spent more than a decade in greater China leading Alibaba.com's digital marketing team during its growth into a global marketplace.

After Alibaba, Shaun built and sold e-commerce businesses in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and since returning to the US has founded companies in technology, education, and e-commerce while building a significant real estate portfolio.

That operator track record is the reason Shaun runs WP's most international deals, marketplace businesses, and cross-border strategic sales.

Khaled leads strategy at Website Properties. He works alongside David and the senior advisors to shape how the firm positions itself in the digital M&A market, which verticals it leans into, and how clients experience the engagement from first touch through close.

Before joining Website Properties, Khaled spent over two decades inside operator seats — building, running, and advising digital businesses across SaaS, e-commerce, and content. That operator background is the lens he brings to every firm-level decision: what would actually make a founder trust a broker with the business they built?

On the client side, Khaled contributes to the firm's most complex positioning calls — the ones where the right story is as important as the right number.

Flavius Burbulea has worked in more industries than most people have heard of. He has settled multi-million-dollar fire and marine claims in Papua New Guinea, brought satellite internet to remote communities, managed a 200-location commercial car-wash rollout across Romania, and spent more than fifteen years growing businesses through SEO and digital marketing.

That background is exactly why brokerage makes sense for him. Buying or selling a business is not just a financial transaction. For most owners it is the culmination of years — sometimes decades — of work, sacrifice, and identity. Getting through it well takes someone who can read people, negotiate without burning bridges, and stay calm when things get complicated.

He holds a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Purdue, an ANZIIF Diploma of Loss Adjusting, multiple Google certifications, and a Solar Energy Expert Certificate. He speaks English, Romanian and Spanish.

Robert is an M&A Advisor at Website Properties. Born and raised in Colorado, he spent more than 30 years in Southern California before the family traded Los Angeles for the quieter pace of Maine.

He has been an entrepreneur since 1998, building, running, buying, and selling several online businesses alongside restaurants and rental properties. Every one of those ventures taught him something about risk, adversity, success, and failure.

That cumulative experience gave him a deep respect for people willing to take chances and learn — and the desire to help them succeed. Brokerage is the work that lets him do exactly that.

Before joining the firm she managed online sales and warehouse operations for a Washington-based couture boutique and served in administrative and patient-facing roles at the Yukon Hospital Corporation — hands-on e-commerce operations on one side, high-touch client service on the other.

She understands that selling a business is a deeply personal milestone, and works to make sure every client moves through the process with confidence, clear communication, and proactive care.

Patty is a Client Services Associate at Website Properties and a Pacific Northwest native who studied Business Management at the University of Washington. She built and ran her own businesses for years before founding an organic personal care company — which she grew profitably and eventually sold through Website Properties.

Having lived the full journey of building and exiting a business firsthand, she joined the firm to help other owners do the same — with confidence and a clear-eyed view of what the process actually looks like.

She brings both operator empathy and service-side discipline to every client interaction — the combination that matters most in the moments when the process feels high-stakes.

The Senior-Broker Difference

Why the person running your deal matters more than the firm running the ads.

Any brokerage can run Google ads. Very few can put a senior advisor in the room for every call, every negotiation, every diligence fire. Here's why the difference shows up at closing.

Pattern recognition.

A senior broker has seen hundreds of deals die and close for specific reasons. When your buyer stalls on diligence or low-balls the earnout, a senior has seen it before — and has the playbook for the move that gets you back on track.

Negotiation leverage.

When the buyer's M&A attorney has 15 years of experience, you need your broker to have 20. Junior brokers get run over in final negotiation. Seniors do not.

Accountability.

The senior advisor who sold you on the engagement is the senior advisor who delivers it. No handoffs, no “your account manager will be in touch,” no rotating cast. One senior, start to finish.

Ready to meet us properly?

Every engagement starts with a confidential valuation from a senior broker. No pitch deck, no hard sell — just a real conversation about what your business is worth and whether Website Properties is the right fit. Read client testimonials or our story.
