Buyers look at four things. We get all four ready before anyone sees your business.
Buyers don't just read your income statement. They read where your visitors come from, how the money is made, and whether the business runs without you. Here's how each story gets told — and judged.
-
01
Where your readers come from
Traffic source is the first thing a buyer checks — and the easiest thing to get ahead of.
-
02
The honest read on AI search
What it changed, what it didn't, and how buyers price it today.
-
03
How the money is made
Affiliate, ads, sponsors, products — the blend matters as much as the total.
-
04
When the brand is you
Selling a business that's built around you and your voice.

Who's buying content now
The buyer pool changed. Here's who stayed — and what they pay attention to.
01 · Traffic
Where your readers come from shapes what buyers will pay.
Two sites can earn the same income and sell very differently. The difference is traffic. Buyers don't just count visits — they ask how those visits would survive a change the owner can't control.
Search
Earned, not ownedThe biggest channel for most sites — and the one buyers question hardest, because it moves on Google's schedule, not yours.
Show stability. Search Console history with traffic spread across many pages, holding through algorithm updates — not three lucky posts.
The channel buyers trust most. You own the list, and no platform can take it from you. It often carries the deal.
Show engagement. List growth over time, open rates, and proof that subscribers click and buy — not just a raw count.
Social & video
Rented reachReal reach on rented ground. Buyers ask what happens to the business when the feed slows down or the rules change.
Show consistency. A steady posting history and an audience that follows you on more than one platform.
Direct & repeat
Brand signalPeople who come back on their own, or type your name into the browser. The quietest signal — and the strongest one.
Show loyalty. Your share of returning visitors, plus searches for your site by name.

02 · The AI Question
AI search, without the doom or the hype.
AI tools now answer many of the quick questions that once sent clicks to websites. That shift is real, and it has cooled demand for sites built on thin, generic articles.
It has not stopped content deals. Sites with first-hand testing, original reporting, a clear point of view, and an email list the owner controls still find buyers. The market didn't leave. It got pickier.
When we take your business to market, we don't dodge the question. We answer it with your own numbers — what held, what dipped, and why. A straight answer builds more trust than any sales pitch.
Buyers don't price fear. They price evidence.
03 · Revenue
Buyers care how the money is made, not just how much.
A buyer will trace every dollar back to its source. A healthy blend sells with confidence. A single source sells with a discount. Here's what gets checked, source by source.
What the buyer checksWhich programs pay you — and whether one of them could change its rates or rules tomorrow.
What the buyer checksWhether the income depends on one ad network, and how closely it rises and falls with your traffic.
What the buyer checksWhether sponsors come back for more, or each one bought a single slot and moved on.
What the buyer checksWhether they sell on their own from the archive, or only when you personally push them.
What the buyer checksHow many members cancel each month, why they leave, and what it costs to replace them.
None of these sources is bad. Concentration is what costs you. If most of your income leans on one of them, the fix takes months, not weeks — which is why it pays to start before you plan to sell. Our exit-enhancement work covers exactly this →
04 · Transfer
When the business is built around you.
Newsletters and channels often grow on one person's voice. So a buyer's first question is plain: what's left after you step away?
There's a fair answer. The archive keeps earning. The list keeps opening. Creator-led businesses transfer well when the handover is planned — and badly when it isn't. Four things make the difference.
Add other writers before you sell.
Bring in co-writers or guest voices while you still own the business, so readers get used to seeing other names beside yours.
Write down how you run things.
If the weekly routine lives in your head, put it on paper. A buyer pays more for a business someone else can run.
Show that older content still earns.
Show income coming from older posts and videos — not just from what you published last week. That's the part a buyer keeps.
Help the new owner settle in.
Offer a transition period where you introduce the new owner and stay reachable. It calms buyers and often improves your terms.
05 · The Market
Who's buying content businesses now.
The buyer pool for content changed over the past few years — and in some ways, it improved. The flippers who chased cheap sites mostly left when the easy search wins dried up. The people who stayed are operators. They plan to own what they buy and run it well.
Some are individuals buying their first income-producing site. Some run small portfolios and want one more title in a niche they already know. Some are media companies that would rather buy a loyal audience than spend years building their own.
What they share: they read the numbers closely, and they pay for businesses that hold together. Getting your site in front of the right buyer matters far more than blasting it to a giant list. That matching is our job. After 600+ closed deals, we know who is writing checks for content — and what each of them needs to see before they do.

Within a short time they hooked me up with multiple potential buyers and I am happy with the overall transaction. As a seller I was able to choose a buyer based not only on price but on my own comfort level with the purchaser.
